Safely over the first fence

Runners and riders successfully negotiated the first fence in the seafront national today on Dymchurch beach.

We fully intended to have a dip in the sea this morning. Our ambition was thwarted by the winds, chop and generally miserable weather when we arrived. So we repaired to the Bucket and Spade cafe for lunch, scone and coffee.

A little sunshine and the promise of more accompanied our walk along the sea wall towards New Romney and back. The sun only made a full appearance as we arrived back at the car. Mind you, the weather on the coast was better than inland which remained overcast and drizzly.

I was not able to visit journals today owing being otherwise engaged. We’ve an early start tomorrow as the car in going for MOT and service and we’re going into town for breakfast afterwards. Thank you for your comments, stars and the odd favourite or two.

Have a nice day!
