Western Conifer Seed Bug

This creature landed on our conservatory window this afternoon.

I initially took a photo of it, from the inside, but when I went outside, I was surprised to see the wonderful markings it had.

Once I identified it, I was amazed to find out that (according to Wikipedia) it is native to North America west of the Rocky Mountains.  It has recently expanded its range to eastern North America and has become an invasive species in parts of Europe.
