Peaceful setting

I went for a long walk yesterday, on my own. I was surprised how few people came across my path. It was time to think and enjoy some solitude on my spiritual journey. The picture is of a lake, really close to a major road. I could hear the constant drone of cars, however looking out over the lake and watching the moorhens swimming around helped me forget how close I was to civilisation and I felt at peace. A little burned out fire and an empty beer can pointed to a previous occupant of this space. I drank my coffee and munched my cornish pasty before continuing on my walk.
Grateful of the time to think, being aware of creation in nature and health and fitness to enjoy walking.
