Absolutely the wrong time of year, I know but a knowledgeable second person was needed to help.

It's a tough old plant, it's had a good feed, there is more light in the downstairs room and I will no longer be woken by magnolia branches bashing the window on stormy nights.

See extra for the troublesome height it had reached. Fingers are crossed for the remaining buds to flower well next April.
