Curling up..

During this time of year I have quite conflicting needs, one is to go for walks to explore the melancholic decay of nature and the other is to stay inside curled up with a blanket, something warm to drink and a good book to read, maybe some soft music in the background. To me, the shield bug in the photo symbolizes very well the effect the change of season has on me, and possibly on any living creature however many legs it has got. This bug has created a shelter by rolling up a leaf (or maybe he just crawled inside a leaf that was already rolled up) and was not happy that I disturbed it. Maybe I should have brought it warm tea and something to read?
