Ice age Ridgeway

Field very similar to The Manger on today's section of the Ridgeway. Presumably also formed by the permafrost of the Ice Age.
Luckily for us it was a lovely sunny day today as we walked a 6 mile stretch between 2 sections already completed.

What to do next? Westwards lies a gruelling 9 miler to the finish of the Ridgeway at Overton Hill. Slightly worried that if we do this soon I won't be fit enough to enjoy the stones at Avebury afterwards!

Or we could head eastwards into the beechwoods of the Chilterns, but I was hoping to save them until more trees had started to turn. Decisions, decisions!
