It had to be!

Well not only pink, but mention of the Pink ribbons for BCAM today!  So  please could you click on this link and then on the pink bar: "Click to give - It's free!"  This is to help towards funding mammograms for people who can't afford them and don't have the NHS we have.  This is taken in the vicinity of Brick Lane (which someone is trying to rename cauliflower lane) and Spitelfields.

Can you guess the colour of my coat?

This morning started with a lecture and a huge breakfast at the hotel!  It’s a help yourself! We did! All good!
Left Croyden in thick mist!  But by the time we were in London we had bright sunshine!
Then off to Shoreditch.  Only just made it in time.  We found the guy with the red umbrella easily and off we went on a free street art walking tour.  In fact not so much free as ‘pay what you think it’s worth’!  Johnny certainly knew his stuff and was very interesting.  I took loads of photos with both the camera and iPhone.   I haven’t had a chance to look at the camera ones.  Will do that at home on the computer.

He pointed to an old building which used to be a Doss house.  You could sleep in a coffin for 8d a night or share with someone for 4d, or for a lot less you could simply hang over a rope for the night!

Where the term to be hung over comes from?
We looked at different types of art, different artists etc.  Our guide took our email addresses and will send us copies of the group photo he took and a list of the artists he was talking about!  Wish I had taken notes!! But then I’d have no photos!

Afterwards we went back to a stand advertising Hello toothpastes etc and were given free samples and a free cheese toasty each! That hit the spot!  The funny thing about the encounter with the cheese toasty maker was that she decided Ro was so like Father Christmas that she wanted a selfie with him!! So funny! We went round Spitlefields market! Love the place!  Then exhausted it was back to our hotel in Croyden eating sandwiches on the train! A rest and a couple more parts of lectures and a walk round Croyden.( over 15000 steps today)

Hope you’re all having a good weekend! Xxx
