The Stromatolites

I'm pretty sure that every day of this tour is better than the last, and today was incredible right from the start. We went down to the dolphin feeding in Monkey Mia bright and early to get a chance to see them and feed them. There were probably almost 100 people there and they only give fish to 5 different dolphins and only a few each so not many people actually get to feed them. I wore bright colours though and it worked! Feeding a wild dolphin is such a surreal experience. After all that excitement we headed back for some breakfast and then kayaked (more like drifting about the ocean in kayaks) for a while, then back on the road.

The photo above isn't just random rocks in the water, but stromatolites, which are some of the oldest living organisms on the planet. They're responsible for the ozone layer and take gases from the water and release them into the air so they look like they're breathing!
