Floored

Helen and I have been floored with the sore throat, fever and general yuckiness doing the rounds. So the last time we went over the door was Monday night for her parents night which all went well in that the teacher got her spiel out, the bell rang - time-up! move along - no interaction PLEASE!... the production line trundles on. I left feeling processed and that primary education now moves as fast as the slowest Buffalo in the herd, with teachers expectations of children's abilities not as high as mine.
They "managed" us as well as they "manage" the kids.
Phew! I must be due another dose......
