Unfortunately the ruined church which we went to see was almost totally covered in dense vegetation and difficult to access – probably not surprising as it has no longer been used as a parish church for over 400 years.  Instead here is the attractive entrance to the former steading at Keith Marischal looking towards the A listed octagonal doocot.  Originally there were wooden nests for pigeons when it was built in 1801 and the quadrangular farm buildings which housed the agricultural machinery and horses have now been converted into desirable houses.
