The Restless Sea

It's been another fine and sunny day. Ideal for a morning visit to Portwrinkle in Cornwall. Watching the open sea wash around the wave-worn rocks of the small harbour, it's easy to forget, at least briefly, the cares of the world. The local seagull who patrols the harbour wall had his sights set on something else though. We had bought Cornish pasties from Bray's in Tideford and left them in a bag on the beach. Fortunately a tragedy was averted by the swift action of a couple who had just been for a swim and realised they had to act. The pasties were still intact in their paper bags and the disgruntled seagull wandered off trying to pretend that he really didn't want the pasties anyway!
