MonoMonday - MM403 - 19th Century

Many water towers were built in 19th Century throughout Scotland. This one at Cammo also known as Leny Tower, estimated built between 1819 - 23, architect Thomas Brown. I did not know it had wooden sails to turn a pump, I've never seen any photos showing them, will need to investigate more.

Edinburgh Castle also has water towers but couldn't find a built date.

Mono pic with some button play.

Walk upriver from Old Cramond Brig to Grotto Bridge into Cammo Estate as there is a lot of fungi out at the moment to look for.
