Nichol End Marina

Today the weather was set fair so the four younger and fitter brothers took the opportunity to walk up to the higher fells of High Spy and Maiden Moor (extra 1)while I walked clockwise around Derwentwater. We had equally great days, though I had the luxury of coffee at the Mary Mount Hotel and afternoon tea at the Lingholm  Kitchen  to break up the ten mile walk. It was warm and sunny, and the skies were clear. There is nowhere better than this lake for panoramic views, and for varied scenery like the quiet waters at Nichol End. On my way to the lake and the walk start I had to admire the window display of the Keswick Bookshop. See extra. What a town.
