Up North

Back blip day 3 No service in the northwoods of Wisconsin

We did have all the leaves cleared, but the trees aren't done. These will wait for spring clean up.

We hauled many pick up truck loads to the dump. When I was a kid it was an actual dump where we'd occasionally see bears scrounging. Now there are dumpsters where you separate garbage, recycling, appliances, etc. We took out the beds since I am sure they are as old as the cottage and quite uncomfortable, 17 pillows - quite a lot for a 520 sq. foot cottage, a broken chair and ottoman, frying pans with peeling coatings, and much miscellaneous stuff from the garage.
I packed up all the bedding, towels, books, knick knacks and such to wash, sort, and donate what we won't use.

We drained the water system and winterized it. We went through the kitchen cabinets to take inventory. Basics such as plates, glasses, silverware are covered. Pots, pans, and baking sheets will be needed. The refrigerator functions but is quite old and inefficient so will keep an eye out for one. The stove/oven seem good.

We cleaned out and organized in the garage. Old fishing poles saved for posterity. I remember both Mr. Brady's fishing quite a bit. Surprised the family didn't take these.

Extra 1: Jack brought his drone so here's a view of the cottage and shoreline. Several neighbors were up getting docks and boat lifts out of the water as well.
Extra 2: Addie playing on her iPad. A little down time after "helping" outside all day. This little cutie can talk...

Hamburgers and grilled veggies for dinner.
