Finding a car as such or ' eaten' worse, is quite common here; they're indicating that a garage is near by. Not meant to be an advert inviting customers, but a proof that Recycling is done on the spot! 
These written off cars get dissected day by day as anything is used as spareparts for the cars that come to the garage for repairs.
