Tricky one in Blackpool

Today’s blip is of one of the tableau's along the Blackpool beach front, which has recently been in the news, stimulating a discussion about the depiction of native Americans in culture. Here’s a link to a recent BBC news report:

This tableau (along with the one in the extra photos) was designed in the 1960s, when things were viewed differently, so it’s probably about time that they are reviewed and perhaps revised.

It’s all very different from when I was watching John Wayne westerns on telly as a kid.

Back home now after a lovely few days in Blackpool.
