Loch an Eilein

We have had excellent accommodation on this break, highly recommended to us, and it lived up to expectations.  The couple who own it are from South Africa and came over around 2016, firstly living in London, but said no one ever talked to them.  They have settled very well in Scotland. They bought the house as a business, and there are four glamping pods in the garden, as well as three room inside for visitors.  The welcome and the high standard was much appreciated by us.  Breakfasts were fab, this morning I had  smoked salmon over scrambled egg on a bun, with cream cheese and capers, and black pepper.  It looked and tasted delicious.

This is the last day of our short break, and we packed up after breakfast and headed over to Loch an Eilein (main photo) and walked around the loch.  We always do this walk every time we are here as we love it.  Then we drove to Loch Insch Watersports centre for a little lunch (not much as breakfast was filling).... and spent a happy hour watching all the water sports.  (see extra).

We drove south on the A9, but had several stops on our way home to stretch legs.  We are not as young as we used to be.
