Tigrosa Georgicola

This is a wolf spider, specifically Tigrosa Georgicola. She's a big 'un! She was in the dirt road when we were walking this morning. The Husband kept making her move and ignoring my "wait wait wait" as I tried to take her photo. So instead of being easier to see amongst the dirt and gravel on the road, she's a bit obscured. But still - isn't she grand!

Wolf spiders don't spin webs. They hunt prey like a... wolf!
