White Lion

The Red Lion is my favourite pub in town and The White Lion is what this species of daffodil is called, or so I was told by a market stall holder in town today. We woke up to large snowflakes swirling around again, but they didn't settle for long although the temperature was sub-zero. The local Radio said that about 60% of the street market would be operating today, but it wasn't true, and I don't blame the stall holders who decided to stay away rather than having to stand about all day in this horribly cold weather. There weren't too many visitors to the market either, but the lovely assortment of Spring (?) flowers which were on display certainly managed to brighten up such a grey day.

I usually have Wednesdays off from work now but not today, far too busy what with the Easter break nearly upon us and a funeral to go to. Sadly I have another very painful one tomorrow. It will be a huge farewell gathering for a very lovely man who has left us all far too soon.
