Laredo, North Spain

Just to give some context, I'm back-blipping for the next month or so due to a combination of illness (Covid) and lack of Wi-Fi which has prevented me from blipping in real time.

1st night , we arrived from the ferry terminal in Bilbao having set sail from Portsmouth the day before. So far, all was good. Smooth crossing and a short 40 minute drive to our base for the next 3 weeks (a flat that belonged to my late mother in the town where she was from). It's off the beaten track for most Brits who come off the ferry and tend to head south in search of sunshine. This part of Spain does not get consistent sun and it's often cloudy and/or enjoys intermittent sun. I don't mind however.
