Riverside trees

Apparently the fishing was hard work today as a result of the strong wind that was blowing downstream. This, along with dropping river levels (due to  lack of rainfall), resulted in no fish being caught today on this particular beat. However, there were some lovely views and fleeting glimpses of wildlife e.g dippers, as well as the morning sunlight catching these young trees planted by the ghillie a few years ago. There are also some magnificent older trees along the river bank, including an ash (in extra) which has managed to avoid ash die back, so far, and has the most incredible deeply patterned bark.
