Romsey

We traveled today to Romsey to stay with friends. It was was a cool but sunny day which slowly warmed up and after a lunch in their garden we had a wander around Romsey. This shot is of King John’s house . King John was devoted to hunting in the New Forest. In c1230 he decided to build a house for himself in Romsey which was used as a Hunting Lodge. It has now been restored as a museum with a tearoom nearby although we were a bit late for that. A wander past the Abbey and into the war memorial park completed our walk.

Great to catch up with them and compare grandchildren behaviour amongst other things.
