Getting the sparkle back

...from Dundee Street in Edinburgh. I blipped this on my way home from seeing Side Effects at Cineworld, which I expected to be a film about mental illness but it turned out to be an entertaining thriller.

You can see the domes of Donaldson's School for the Deaf on the skyline in the right hand part of the picture. Donaldson's was founded as Donaldson's Hospital in 1851 according to designs by the great 19th century architect, William Henry Playfair. The school for the deaf has moved out to modern purpose-built premises in Linlithgow.
