Indulgence

Up and organised ourselves to set off for a weekend break. We’d booked a dog friendly spa hotel but since N is still here, feeling too poorly for driving and work but ok to look after himself and Paisley, we left her with him and set off west. His test was negative for Covid so it seems to be the cold we’ve all had.
We bought coffee and delicious squidgy cinnamon buns for the journey and this was pretty much the only photo I took all day. When we arrived in Troon we unpacked and changed and hung out in the pool/sauna/steam room all afternoon, had a drink overlooking the golf course in our gowns and then each had an all over salt scrub and oil massage. Lovely! Apart from some light crossword and puzzle solving by the pool it required little thinking or doing all day.
By dinner time I was pleased we’d decided not to explore local restaurants as it was pouring with rain and we enjoyed a tasty dinner of scallops, mushrooms, lamb, tuna, creme brûlée and sticky toffee pudding between us. A had to read the menu to me as I’d forgotten my glasses and we realised how much tuition she needs on her French…fricassee, Nicoise etc all mangled in the reading!
Back to the bedroom and an early night….what a lazy day!
