Tales of the unexpected

In the early hours (yes, we stayed up too late watching a film...) I happened to glance out of the window, and was amazed to see this! A reflection of our lamp on the wall of the house opposite! So amazed that I took a photo, the only one of the day.

Neither MrM nor I can work out exactly how it was reflected there - the light must have bounced off the glass on a picture opposite the lamp and then, maybe,  off the blank TV screen. Though logically the screen is at the wrong angle for that to occur. We're puzzled!

A damp, gloomy day, just right for starting the business accounts, a little huge and daunting job that I've been putting off for months.

Both feeling slightly down. We had tickets for a Steve Hackett concert in Newcastle this evening but, given the high Covid rates, decided not to go. MrM Senior's death is still fresh in our minds, two friends are still suffering from Long Covid months after they had the virus, and another recently left hospital after a 3-week stay - the photos of his 'covid toes' are enough to make anyone cautious! All were double vaccinated. But part of me says we should have gone.. A dose of normality and loud, live music would have been wonderful...
