Project 365 day 290: clearing the pumpkin patch

Toothmarks on one of the small orange pumpkins today showed that in the absence of butternuts our uninvited guest is prepared to try other kinds of squash. I therefore decided that the rest of the pumpkin patch should be harvested immediately, and most of the pumpkins and squashes, along with the last of the cucumbers, are now installed in the garden room to finish ripening in whatever sun comes our way.

This is the only photo I took today, so there has been no reviewing and editing of six, ten or more, followed by long deliberation about which is the day's most representative and pleasing image. This should leave me a bit more time for browsing other journals - I have a lot to catch up.
