Ping Pong

An upper-class parlour game in Victorian England, but possibly developed in India by British military officers around the 1860s or 70s. Trademarked by J. Jacques & Sons in 1901. All info courtesy of Wikipedia. This outside table is in South Eveleigh. During lockdown people actually used it.

The handy toilets include a unisex accessible one, first introduced in the 1970s. Unfortunately, the purely functional design makes them unworthy of their own blip.

Excited to learn that John Lanchester’s novel Capital has been adapted as a four-part series now showing on the ABC and iview.

Thanks for hosting Laurie54.
