Stainless steel

Harry Brearly invented stainless steel, or 'rustless steel' as it was first known, in 1916. An English metallurgist based in Sheffield, Brearly's invention brought affordable cutlery to the broader population, which in turn boosted the cutlery industry.

I love stainless steel. It's very serviceable and even if it gets a bit scratched it still cleans up to gleaming.

Thanks for hosting Laurie54. Another interesting challenge.
