Gibside

Decided to visit Gibside today. We haven’t been here since before lockdown. Usually we bring the grandchildren but today it was just Richard and I. What I hadn’t expected was the warm weather, it was so mild. I ended up carrying my jacket and fleece. I also didn’t anticipate doing a long walk as Richard doesn’t normally like to walk too far, but we ended up walking right around Gibside, through Snipes Dene and right down to the river and back up to the grounds of Gibside. I was ready for my cuppa at the cafe! Think I’ll have a rest tomorrow, my little legs aren’t used to walking two days on the trot.
