Another ship at the dock ready to be loaded with logs. I'm disheartened by the fact that these ships are in and out several times a week being loaded with our raw logs, shipped overseas (hard to see in the photo but this boat is Diamond Harbour Hong Kong), then probably sent back to us made into lumber, or something. I'd like to see jobs created here in the United States using those logs rather than export them to someone else to make something. I'm sure there are a few jobs needed for this process but to think that bunches of saw mills and such are shut down only to send the the logs elsewhere. We should be sending lumber created at our mills. So, that's what I think about that.
