The London Legal Walk

I took part in the London Legal Walk this evening. It is normally held in May or June but because of the Covid restrictions then in place it was put back to October. It is the 9th time I have done the Walk, 10 kilometres around Central London although tonight in the rain it seemed a lot longer than that! The Walk is organised by the London Legal Support Trust which supports organisations providing pro bono legal advice and representation to those who cannot afford it otherwise and might thus be denied access to justice. The Walk starts in Carey Street behind the Royal Courts of Justice. Carey Street is where the Bankruptcy Court was  located in the 19th century which gave rise to the expression  "in Carey,(also referred to as Queer), Street", meaning you were broke, skint, facing financial ruin.
