BEAD HEAD NYMPH-Fishing Fly

This is a generic imitation of any number of aquatic nymphal stages of insects common in the fresh-water streams of North America. They are made in a variety of sizes to imitate specific nymphs.

This is the bead head (see the bead?) variety. In addition to the lead wrapped hook shank the bead head, typically brass or tungsten, adds weight to get the fly to the bottom where most nymphal forms exist. This variety is especially useful in deeper water where great weight is necessary ro overcome effects of depth and speed of current.

Best in Large.
