Day 292/21. Scarlet Waxcap

These impressive fungii grow on our lawn at this time of year.
Their colours are fabulous, the underside almost luminous when lit (with a small led light) from below. They are supposedly edible, but I'm not convinced enough to try.
These are currently about 2cm high. They will get a lot bigger provided it stays moist.
We let them grow...they are lovely little things.
