Stirling Castle

Although I spent three years at Stirling University, many moons ago, I don’t remember ever having been inside the castle! It is very impressive and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit today.

The main photo is of the Queen’s Lodgings and the Prince’s Tower taken from the Queen Anne Gardens on the south side of the castle and the extra is of one of the tapestries hanging on the walls of the Queen’s Inner Hall. The tapestries, which took 13 years to make, were completed in 2015 and are closely based on the Hunt of the Unicorn series created in the Low Countries in the early 1500’s which are now in the in the Metropolitan Museum of New York.
