It's A Minute To Midnight

Disaster Day

Well the weather started as said by BBC weather ( utter crap) so we thought we’d take a drive to Beverly for the shops.
We take two cars as Garris parents have a dog and always like to take their own little car. We go out in tandem we lead they follow. After about 7 mins away from our holiday cottage and Garri said “where have my parents gone, I can’t see the car!”
I phoned his dad to find out they had just lost the clutch in their car. It’s only 7 years old!
So we did an about turn and found them stranded on the main road with hazards on.
Garris dad was phoning the AA and although we didn’t know it at the time the AA man was just finishing another job and was literally only 5mins away. Such a nice man called Alan.
He hooked up the tow bar and I drove in front in my 4x4 with hazards on and we got back to the cottage, then the AA man got them into a garage about 5 miles out of Scarborough so he asked me to drive behind them and Garri was in turning the wheel in their little car and we went to the garage. They should get their car back either Thursday eve or Friday morning.
A very expensive day for them!!
New clutch for them!
I don’t think we were meant to enjoy this years holiday ( no surprise as we always have something go wrong)
So no photos at all apart from this of the AA man hooking up the tow bar!
