A rather damp dahlia

It was dry overhead but very soggy underfoot when Poppy and I set off on our walk through the park.

Wet leaves of every autumnal colour covered the ground. The gardeners try to keep the main paths leaf free but as the leaves are falling so quickly it’s hard to keep up.

There are still quite a few dahlias that have survived the recent rainfall. The flowers with the really large heads are now a rather soggy mess.

So many different fungus growing in the park that I have included some in the extras.
