Some friends are visiting Edinburgh this week. After watching a terrible game of football in The Cask we moved on to The Star Bar, which promised 'El Gigantico Beer Garden' but was in reality rather small. Still we got a seat, the Sun came out and the smokers didn't have to scuttle off every half an hour.

Slightly wobbly we left there for The Thistle Street Bar, Alastair's Dad died on New Year's Day and apparently a pint and a whisky on Thistle Street was a favourite of his when visiting Edinburgh. After watch a Husky battle a much smaller dog and win hands down we moved on to Tequilla Joe's for a bite to eat and 2 for 1 Margarita's then somehow still managed to Rock till one in the morning with a full 4-piece band.
