... about to happen. One of my favourite quick lunches, and Slimming World friendly to boot. Make a spicy tomato sauce with onions, garlic, and peppers (I add cumin and harissa), then break as many eggs as you fancy on top and cook until just set. Delicious!

So that was the virtuous part of the day. In the evening we went to the bar and gorged convivially on pizza and the leftover charcuterie, cheese, and apple tart from the inauguration. Washed down with several rounds of wine -- everyone takes a turn to buy a bottle. Home to a nice glowing fire that S had thoughtfully lit earlier, with a cat draped in front of it.

I wasn't entirely idle -- apart from the shakshuka I made some crackers and fresh pasta with the neglected sourdough starter.
