Tracks

Wallaby tracks in the soft sand. When moving along slowly they put their front paws down and balance on the paws and tail while they swing those big hind feet forward.
It got me thinking about Tracker Riley, a well known Aboriginal Tracker who was with the Dubbo Police in my parents’ time. Aunty Joan had a story of hearing a disturbance at her farm. She went out and Tracker Riley called out to her, “It’s all right Mrs. Fitz. It’s me, Alec Riley. We got Moss.” Moss was a serial killer operating in our area.
