Waiting Walrus

This shot was taken in Bodo - a very quirky little place. This sculpture (he's about 6ft tall), was sitting inside of what looked like a paddling pool?? Well, it was covered in snow and ice, so I'm not entirely sure.

I like the huge pile of snow behind him. You see this everywhere in the towns. It's just the snow from the roads which has been ploughed up and dumped in these huge mounds.

We also visited the Nordland museum which is housed in one of the oldest surviving building in the town. Bodo was heavily bombed during the Second World War.

In the basement was an interactive "dry aquarium". It was the strangest museum exhibit I've ever seen. To find out what the different fish were, you pressed a button next to the name of a particular fish and the corresponding fish's eyes lit up - it was hilarious. But this exhibit was over 100 years old.
