Curiouser and curiouser

We could not not take Alice to the current Alice 'Experience' at the V&A, could we! I have had it booked for a while and got good ticket reductions with our Art Passes. We got the train from Sandling Station, Hythe, straight through to Charring Cross. Two buses later and we were there. London is so quiet!

Our younger daughter (of Auntie Jo Jo fame) joined us in the cafe and we had a lovely lunch together. They do food well at the V&A.

The 'experience' was great; an exploration of 'Alice in Wonderland' as a global phenomenon, exploring its origins, adaptations and reinventions. I chose this photo, as 'our' Alice looks bemused in the final section, which has so much light, movement and mirrors that one becomes disorientated, as Alice was throughout her adventures.

The Cheshire Cat and its grin

We have just been along the prom to the restaurant for a lovely meal and came back in the rain. Apparently 'walking by the sea in the dark and the rain is just the best thing ever'!

We head home tomorrow, dropping Alice home on the way. What a wonderful few days with her we have had.
