Home Again!

And clearly I'm not in Palm Springs anymore! The weather was cloudy flying in and I got a terrific view of the deciduous trees in their autumn glory. They really do seem spectacular this year - I wonder if the intense heat we had earlier in the summer contributed, or perhaps the drought. 

I managed to get out to the garden before it started raining - it was murky and dark so most of my photos were terrible. But I do like the back of the anemones - they're going by now and the bottoms turn a bit pink. And the only living creature I saw in the garden was this quiet fly on the fading hydrangea.

It was terrific to be away, but always good to be home too, rain or not!
