White-winged Chough and Baked Beans

This is another unwelcome bird here.
The white-winged chough looks all black until it flies. Unlike other birds which destroy buds or fruit, the main problem we have with these is they are continually digging for worms and in the process upend any seeds or seedlings we have planted. At least we can cover the beds with wire.
They are listed as not at all endangered, but the ones around here shouldn't take heart from that.

Tonight the Rotary club had a Baked Bean Extravaganza (via Zoom). You had to pay $25 for the honour of creating a meal based on baked beans.
To rub salt into the wound it is our wedding anniversary but I actually had all the ingredients for the first recipe I found online which was for Baked Bean Sausage Rolls so I made them. They actually didn't taste too bad, not any worse than real sausage rolls.
Mr isbi managed to scoff his entire plate full (extra) before his turn to be judged came up so he had to show the leftovers which were the reject shapes.
