A Greeting

Made our way slightly north to the stunning Porthtowan beach today. It’s a fabulous beach with old ancient dunes behind that have sadly almost vanished. They are trying to regrow them with carefully planted vegetation and I hope they can. It’s interesting that Extinction Rebellion chose the beach for some murals and I say amen to that - https://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/news/18697825.extinction-rebellion-put-mural-cornish-beach-porthtowan/

This photo shows the joy of my four girls on the beach, sun on our backs, wind in our hair and the magnificent waves singing an ancient aria out at sea.

Afterwards we drove further north to St, Anges. Schooners is ace.

Today is blips 17th birthday. Blip works for many of us because it’s almost the opposite to what most social media is. It’s quiet, kind, full of joy, care, talent and wit. Joy and sadness find a home as equal bedfellows. It specifically does not allow any advertising of any kind and only lets you post one photo a day that specifically has been taken that day.

Happy birthday Blip. Thank you Joe Tree for starting it all. Thank you too for taking the time to do a BBC6 interview with Lauren Laverne 11 years ago that inspired me to get involved.

Blip. You rock.
