Skip for hire

F needed a skip for getting rid of the waste bricks and rubble from demolishing his outside loo.

He spent most of yesterday on the phone trying to fix it up.  In order to put it on the road outside his house he'd need a permit from the council costing £130 and there would be over two weeks to wait.  Eventually he tracked down a small one that could be pushed into his garage without taking the roof or doors off. The down side was that they didn't get back to him to say when he could have it.

I had a phone call at around 9.00am to say that they'd phoned back and it was on it's way!

I dashed over to his house and together with a friend of his spent the day loading it up sustained by pasties from the local deli. The blip is of the skip arriving and F and R at work.  We should finish the last bit of demolition and skip filling tomorrow.

A happy 17th blip birthday to Blipfoto, a big thank you to Joe Tree for starting it and the Fab Four for keeping it running.  It's a wonderful way to record daily life and to meet some great people from around the world virtually and in person.
