Bird's-eye View

I met up with my college roommate today for a stroll and lunch.  She suggested Huntley Meadows, a favorite of mine, which happens to be near her home.  She isn't a photographer, but was happy to bring her binoculars to search for birds, which worked for me.  I was pleased to find more wildlife than in recent weeks, even after getting a late morning start.  This Belted Kingfisher attracted a lot of attention, as kingfishers tend to do, and although far away, posed for several minutes.
