Easton Walled Garden

This morning we enjoyed walking round the grounds of Easton Walled Garden in its early autumn colours, which is to say, it looked more like early autumn than late October. It felt a lot chillier than of late, though, with a sharp wind. Walking in the shelter of trees and slopes soon warmed us up. (And we did have a cuppa at the cafe, too!)

Wanted to include the fungi and pine cones, as well as the lovely topiary, so added them as insets to this view of the large lawned area. Little Miss B covered lots of ground on foot and particularly enjoyed watching the robotic grass cutter in action.

I think the central toadstool is a yellow fieldcap (Protostropharia semiglobata), but am happy to be corrected if I'm mistaken. Not sure what those are on the left, among the pine cones.

Thanks for all the lovely visits of late, and I will aim to catch up with comments as and when ...
