A night at the opera
I’d forgotten how arse-aching driving at commuter time around Glasgow is, but it was worth it to go to first theatre performance in just under two years. Actually indoors and with many people in close proximity. Must admit I felt quite anxious for a bit, but at least almost everyone at the Theatre Royal was adhering to the ‘stay masked’ rules, which gave some comfort. It’s hard to believe our southern neighbours with their truly awful government led by the over-privileged straw head let free reign take over so quickly.
Anyway, grateful that an invite from a Scottish Opera grandee friend nudged me in, and while it was wonderful to enjoy live opera again, time with them was the principal motivation!
