Today I took the opportunity to pay a visit to the World Press Photo exhibition which was being hosted by a local gallery (http://www.xn--espaaescultura-tnb.es/es/eventos/valencia/world-press-photo.html). It's a touring exhibition showcasing some of the best photography behind some of the news stories of 2021. The photos each had a strong narrative and it was fascinating to hear the motivation behind the stories. Many dealt with war torn states but there were others which dealt with other matters such as this one which recorded the behaviour of wild pigeons during the Covid epidemic. The images shows a family from Holland who had 'adopted' a small number of these pigeons and the photos record the reaction of the different family members ranging from initial horror to indifference and assimilation.
