Snap, crackle, and pop

Another of my happy places

Having spent half of yesterday in seeking €1 coins for use at Tuttlingen, The Driver announced this morning that he thought we might skip that stop and go straight to Oberprechtal. His reason was that it had been raining and the ground at Tuttlingen is said to become quite unpleasant after rain.

So, here we are.

It took longer than expected as within minutes of departure we found ourselves faced with a road closure. Of course.

We love Oberprechtal. It's a pretty village, in the Black Forest. The parking is peaceful and with a great view but is very popular and comes under pressure at times. There's a €12 charge involving envelopes and an honesty box but water, waste, electricity and WiFi are all included. NO NEED for those €1 coins.

We have been out around the village circular walk with the cat and the dog, picked up a couple of items for dinner from the very nice butchery shop that also sells wine, bread, and cheese (all needs catered for!) and are now plotting a more serious walk for tomorrow.

We seem to be here for a while as we couldn't get dinner tonight or tomorrow and are now booked for Sunday night.
